One Christmas season, our family made this salsa to give away to our friends and family for the holidays. The responses we received were absolutely overwhelming!! Many of our friends asked for more and some even wanted to buy it by the case. We even had people that we didn’t know knocking on our door asking for more.
The following year, my 9 year old son asked me if he could earn some money for Christmas by mowing yards. I was so proud of him for asking, but explained to him that mowing yards during the winter in Oklahoma wouldn’t be very profitable. I mentioned to him and his 4 other siblings the idea of selling the salsa that was such a smash hit the year before. Well, all of the kids were very excited about this idea; and after watching them sell hundreds of jars at school, yard sales, and "word of mouth", my wife and I recognized that this could be a great way for all five of our kids to earn money towards their college tuitions. So, from our family's enjoyment to yours, we say... "This is not just an average salsa; it's a "College Bound Salsa".
